Telehealth services are available to patients who have difficulty getting to a specialist or live in rural and remote areas.
PATIENT LOCATION
Patients can link with us directly from their homes provided they have access to video-conferencing equipment. Alternatively, they can link from their local GP’s office if their local medical centre is set up for Telehealth.

Hardware: Computer with webcam and access to internet

ACCESS TO CLINICAL INFORMATION
The patient’s referral letter can be sent to us by fax 02 9747 6630 or email sydneyspineinstitute@gmail.com.
ACCESS TO RADIOLOGY
We may be able to access your images online if your radiology clinic has an online access facility. Alternatively, arrangements need to be made for a digital copy of the scans to be sent by post or electronically. Please allow time for these arrangements.
TIME
Video consultations are organised on a weekly or fortnightly basis at a time block exclusively allocated to Telehealth to ensure reduced waiting times.
COST
Charges for Telehealth are in accordance with the AMA schedule of fees. Consultations are partly covered by Medicare.
